Here in our region, we've learned the importance of not putting all our eggs in one basket, so to speak. We know that poultry farming can be done, and goat farming too; we even undertake duck farming. It's about having options for our families and our future. For our second crop, we cultivate a range of pulses like chickpea, moong, lentil, pigeon pea, urad, masoor, chana, and arhar. And we make sure to preserve their seeds, ensuring we have them for the next season. We've also found that mushroom cultivation can be a good option for us. By diversifying what we grow and what animals we raise, we create more pathways for livelihood and ensure our community has food. It’s a way of adapting and making sure we can always provide for ourselves.
